Fee Schedule

To ensure a smooth process for all parties, mediation fees and policies are outlined as clearly and transparently as possible.

RETENTION OF SERVICES AS A MEDIATOR

Mediation services are billed at $600 per hour, which includes time spent in session, reviewing submissions, and handling related correspondence. This fee is split equally between the parties.

MINIMUM FEE

Time is reserved exclusively for each scheduled matter. A minimum fee equivalent to two hours applies to all confirmed mediations.

Judge McCaffrey is a retired Superior Court Judge and seasoned civil litigator who has served as a full-time neutral resolving complex disputes throughout NJ since 2017.

Judge McCaffrey served on the Superior Court of New Jersey from 2004 to 2017, concluding his judicial career as the Presiding Judge of the Civil Division for Cumberland, Gloucester, and Salem Counties. Over more than a decade on the bench, he presided over 130 jury trials and handled a wide range of complex civil matters, including personal injury, employment disputes, professional malpractice, land use, and insurance coverage.

Before his judicial appointment, Judge McCaffrey spent over 20 years as a civil litigator and municipal counsel. He held key positions at several New Jersey law firms and represented governmental entities in land use, contract disputes, labor relations, and redevelopment matters. He is a Certified Civil Trial Attorney and holds an AV rating from Martindale-Hubbell.

Since founding McCaffrey ADR, Judge McCaffrey has mediated and arbitrated over 1,000 matters. He brings deep insight, judicial discipline, and a reputation for fairness to every case.

    Chief legal counsel to the Township of Woolwich. Provided general advice and counsel to the governing body of the Township on governmental issues. Handled litigation involving contract disputes, federal civil rights actions and litigation involving permitting issues and governmental approvals. Responsible for labor relations and contract negotiations. Developed personnel policies and procedures. Prepared and reviewed bid specifications for capital purchases. Prepared ordinances and resolutions for governing body.

    Borough of Audubon, Solicitor 1996 – 1997, 2001 -2004

    Chief legal counsel to the Borough of Audubon. Responsibilities include labor relations, litigation, preparation of specifications for capital projects and purchases, review of grant applications for redevelopment zones and general legal counsel. Responsible for all legal issues relating to implementation of redevelopment plan in the Borough’s commercial district.
